WOOT OFF

Get your caffeine ready! It is TIME for WOOTING OFF!

Power up and log in - productivity shall plummet nationwide! Around the world!

And to think, I just got my cordless phones from WOOT - a Mexican refurbished product sent from China. Good thing I can read Spanish.

News?

image

One of these things is not like the other. And also, is not news.

Random Thoughts

1. Timbaland’s “The Way I Are” sounded so familiar to me, and I’ve been listening to it on my iPod to figure out why. Today? I have solved my own puzzle: the background is a sample of Salt n’Pepa’s “Push It,” or a variation thereof. Can I tell you how much I dig figuring out what song sampled from another and then identifying the sources? It’s one of the dorkiest things I do that I take great pleasure in.

2. This morning Hubby and I woke up to downpours, dark skies, and thunder - and both of us wanted to crawl back in bed and sleep all day. It was the perfect day to hide in bed. And yet, we got up, showered and dressed, and went out. Into the rain. LAME.

3. There was so much flooding and standing water in NJ (which is pretty much wet and floody and puddly when there’s a downpour) that my car is now Very Very clean from having driven at 10 mph through puddles. Free car wash! Thanks, Mother Nature!

4. I am now looking for a pen to replace my old favorite brand. Seems its been discontinued and I need to upgrade to a better pen for quick writing. I am embarrassed at how much time this is taking up in my brain.

5. I seem to be growing a pimple on my face that is deep beneath the surface, and is exceedingly painful. I wish it would hurry up because it makes my whole head hurt and that’s not fair.

Traveling Through

After four days away, I feel like I’ve been gone a long, long time. Mostly, it’s because being away at the RWA National Conference was a totally amazing experience, even if I only left the hotel once, and returned about 20 minutes later.

The good part is, I had a fantastic time. The bad part? I have “I talked too much” voice and am totally freaking exhausted. Between staying up late, traveling by plane at 7 months pregnant, and talking way, WAY too much, I have a scratchy voice and a rather glazed stare at just about every moment. It was definitely worth it, however.

However, I shall have to attempt to find time to think of something interesting to say. The glazed stare seems to apply to my fingers as well, as they are rather resistant to typing.

question

Am I the only one who was taught by several teachers to always always always let a pregnant lady go ahead in the line for the ladies’ room?

Of course, I have trouble getting a seat on the subway. Why should anyone care if I have to go and a fetus is dancing on my bladder?
Sent via BlackBerry. Pardon the typos!

Blocks

Hubby and I bought these blocks at Big Lots. They were cheap, and Freebird loves them, but there are some really, REALLY strange drawings on some of them. Seriously.

Hair Cat

All of my cats like to sleep on the dining room table in the sun, and of the four of them, three are very very longhaired cats. Ergo my tablecloth is COVERED with hair.

OMG. I’m horrified that I didn’t notice until now, but in the sunlight I can see big tufts of cat.

It’s like a fifth cat.

I could MAKE a cat out of all this hair.

I’m so embarrassed.
